  • COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER - (1 position)

    Prior to coming onboard to SRJC and joining our union, I was part of the CSEA union with Petaluma City Schools, where I served as the Communications Officer for 5 years. I fully understand and appreciate the importance of our union for Classified Staff. The Communications Officer is a critical role for making sure information is shared out to chapter members and all Classified Staff, amongst other duties. I would welcome the opportunity to expand my role as a member of the CEC and serve as the Communications Officer.

  • NEGOTIATOR - (1 position)

    I have had the privilege of representing the Classified at SRJC as a negotiator for the past 4 years. I have found the experience, while challenging, to be very rewarding and would like to continue serving in this capacity. I am proud of the progress the Negotiations Team has made over the past 4 years and will continue to fight for parity for Classified if I am reelected.

    Dear Classified Unit Members, my name is Patty Collis and I’m currently serving as a Job Steward. I have worked at Santa Rosa Junior College, in the IT department, for 37 years and I’ve been a member of SEIU since 1987. Working under three administrations, I have experienced many challenges and changes throughout the years. I have actively engaged myself in fighting for what is right and remain dedicated to the well-being of our classified staff. In my role as Job Steward, I’m committed to helping create an environment of respect and support for classified employees. I’m dedicated to supporting all of you and ensuring your concerns are heard and your rights are protected and represented, with integrity and strong ethics. As your steward, I've worked to resolve workplace conflicts, ensure fair labor practices, improve work environments and addressed many other concerns effecting our workplace. I will continue to advocate for and represent the interests of our classified staff, and ensure your rights are protected under our contract. I would be honored to continue representing you, as we continue to navigate the many changes ahead us. I hope you will cast your vote in support of me in the role of Job Steward. Thank you.
